Celebration of Life for Jim Reilly
This is an informal gathering to celebrate Jim’s life, share memories, reconnect with friends, and spend some time together.
Doors open at 3pm. Around 5pm, Jim’s family will say a few words, followed by an opportunity for anyone else who would like to speak or share a memory.
There’ll be charcuterie boards throughout the evening, and DJs Dusty, Trevor Walker, and Balu will be playing music all night.
The event wraps up at 9pm.

Music was at the heart of Jim’s life, and we’re proud to have DJs Trevor Walker, Balu, and Dusty (returning from retirement) playing in his honor.
Jim’s obituary was lovingly crafted by his brother Joe, and shared here as part of remembering and celebrating his life. These words offer a personal reflection from someone who knew and loved him best.
A GoFundMe has been set up in Jim’s memory.
A GoFundMe has been created in Jim’s memory, with 100% of the funds going directly to Village Transitiôn in Gatineau.
Village Transitiôn was chosen because of its local impact and its mission to support adults in need of housing through psychosocial assistance. The organization had previously offered Jim a place to live, making this cause especially meaningful to those closest to him.
Their work is guided by empathy, compassion, autonomy, solidarity, and social justice—helping people move toward stability, independence, and a more dignified future. Thank you to everyone who contributes, shares memories, and helps honour Jim’s life in this way.
